A little knowledge is sometimes dangerous. Ask a novice mechanic why your car
won't crank over and he will say "It's the starter or battery". The
old experienced mechanic will say "Let me have a look at it" or maybe
he will ask for more information like "Do the headlights dim when you hit
the key?".

And i think the attention is intoxicating and self-reinforcing. Of course, with
a patent like his, self-doubt and re-evaluating based on evidence were
never his strong suits.
At this point, there is considerable cognitive dissonance involved in
changing his course of action...even as we all suspect he is forcing Judge
Koh into a mistrial and headed for a major tounge-lashing from her.
My question: Does he remain "interesting" after the mistrial is
declared?
