I agree with a lot of what you say. I suspect live performance events are more
in
mind than movies, but I can see that scenario as well.
Repressive regimes take a simpler approach: they insist that phones sold to
their
citizens have the cameras removed.
Which brings me to my real point. The patenting doesn't matter. It's the
legislation which will mandate police capability to disrupt communications and
recording which will.
As long as there's a phone which doesn't include the remote-brick functionality,
the dissenters are able to choose the phone best suited for their purposes.
Let us also remember that patents can be stockpiled for nuclear war, they can
also be troll-repellent against those who swoop in to skim from the successful
