Naah, it goes right alongside an omnipotent and benevolent god of peace and love
allowing war to exist.
There's a quote from ancient greece (I think) that goes something like this:
Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot.
Or he can, but does not want to.
Or he cannot, and does not want to.
If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent.
If he can, but does not want to, then he is wicked.
If he neither can, nor wants to, he is both powerless and wicked.

What it means it that God has a sense of humour. Suppose
he made the dinasaur bones and buried them for us to find
so we would have something to do.

A story can be new and yet tell a tale that happened a billion years ago. When
the storyteller is omnipotent, why would he need to lie? He can create the past
as his story unfolds. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
