I'm serious. Because it's a hard word to define legally.
And that's one of the huge problems with the system. Definitions. Legal
definitions aren't the same is Dictionary definitions.
At this point I'd like to get PJ to explain the legal definition of obvious as
it
relates to patent law. PJ?

A couple of governments can try to distort research into any direction they
like. They can do that even with private research (and mainly do).
But they'll need the entire world to cooperate if they want to limit it. And any
country that doesn't cooperate has a huge advantage over the remaining cartel...
