Hard upon the news of the earthquake came news that a Giampaolo
Giuliani had predicted this earthquake, had tried to warn the public, but had
been muzzled by the Italian government. wikipedia
It appears scientists can get in trouble for saying anything at all about
earthquakes in Italy ...[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I can see it now
Q 'Is there a risk of flooding after these rains?'
A 'No comment.'
Q 'Are we going to see a drought this year?'
A 'No comment.'
etc
I expect others can add more.

"I thought that "inexact, incomplete and contradictory"
information was the state of the art in seismology."
Hasn't that been state of the art in Politics for a long time now ? ... maybe
they should jail some Politicians for the same reasons.
Just asking.
