You can be struck off as a director in such a way that you are not allowed to be
a company director again, whether being in contempt of court would be considered
severe enough to be considered as unfit to be be the MD of a company is another
matter.
After all the buck stops with the MD all the other underlings are their
advisers!

The law says that, as a member of the board, he carries PERSONAL liability.
As such, if the Judge decides to jail or fine anyone, he PERSONALLY is standing
in the firing line.
And his only recourse is to sue Apple for compensation - which could well be
handsome. Unless, of course, the Judge says that the punishment IS personal and
forbids him from so doing. I believe that has been done ...
