Again, PJ has a much better bating average than other so
called experts.
Still, IMHO, the moral thing for PJ to
do
would be to send them an email, with
the facts - She is no
longer the sole administrator of Groklaw, and this is no
longer her blog (It's Mark's too, and IIRC, coverage of this
has come from
both of them - disclaimer, PJ, GL will always
be your brainchild, and your
retirement is more active than
many active jobs). She is not a patent expert,
though she
has legal training.
I understand that that is going the
extra mile, and that it
is inviable to try to police the whole internet in
search
for mistakes when providing attribution (Mind you, I would
at least ask
them to correct the name, they're calling her
Pamelo Jones). I
also understand that Groklaw
getting
quoted instead of that other
source is a great
victory in
itself, and that it may not be worth risking
that delicate
blossom with nitpicking. I however think it would set
Groklaw
apart from other sources.
Finally, a personal remark: Go Groklaw! It's
time this
wonderful site started appearing
as a news source in the media. I
myself frequent a number of
tech blogs and news feeds
(mostly Android
related), and I always try to counter any
FUD that quotes that other
blog[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
