Yes UK private company no longer needs to have a company secretary. (Since
2008)
Didn't you yourself say though that in this instance the judge is sitting in an
EU capacity?
So what matters Comp Sec.?

Legislation regarding the Company Secretary come in the Companies Act
2006:
Private (Ltd) companies not required to have one (Part 12,
§270).
Public (Plc) companies required to have one (Part 12,
§271-273).
I've tried searching Compan
ies House for Apple, but have failed to come up with any company that looks
like it could be a presence of Apple [computers] (checking Microsoft it probably
appears as a Ltd - if it's not Microsoft that we all... then I'd expect them
to have done something about them now, possibly a casualty?). However, the contact information on their
website (still with the contemptuous message) indicates that their Europe
presence is probably registered in Eire (Ireland), which mean Irish legislation
(incorporating EU requirements) will probably be appropriate. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
