I merely note that www.apple.com appears to exhibit none of this
resizing-the-graphics-to-hide-the-smallprint behaviour...

If this auto-resizing were new I'm willing to bet the judges
would hand down a contempt of court judgement with hefty
penalties. I doubt Apple is that stupid.

Now we know why they told the court it would take 14 days to put the corrected apology on their homepage.

What they meant to say was "We can get it up in 24 hours and only slightly obfuscate it. In 14 days we can get it up there in a way that absolutely no-one will notice it. We'd much prefer that, and are sure you won't find us in contempt.".

I can't believe how childish and petulant Apple are being.

Well, actually, I can.

var
HeroResize=AC.Class({initialize:function(b){this._height=null;this._hero=$(b
);

AC.Object.synthesize(this);this.__boundResizeHero=this.resizeHero.bindAsEventLis
tener(this);
if(typeof
window.ontouchstart==="undefined"){this.resizeHero();Event.observe(window,"resiz
e",this.__boundResizeHero)

}},setHeight:function(b){this._height=(b<0)?0:b;return
this._height},resizeHero:function(){this.setHeight(parseInt(window.innerHeight||
(window.document.documentElement.clientHeight||window.document.body.clientHeight
),10)-310);

this.hero().style.height=this.height()+"px"}});Event.onDOMReady(function(){var
b=new HeroResize("billboard")
});

That hides the bottom 310px of the page
no matter what screen resolution is used.
