Agreed! I think that more than a few people here have been thinking that way
recently. Apple quite probably do not have any amazing new devices in the
pipeline, just more of the same, perhaps slightly thinner (which generally means
less battery life), or just stretched or shrunk versions of what they already
have. When a market gets like that, with no scope for major advances, there is
no opportunity for spectacular profits, as there is a large amount of
competition. So how do you stop the competition? Out-innovate them (becoming
very difficult), under-price them (and there goes the profits!), strangle their
supply lines by buying all the parts for yourself (a distinct possibility yet to
come) or sue them. If Apple are not the creators of the next must-have gadget,
they will soon sink into relative obscurity, as M$ are already doing. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
