Sweet... Leave your main disk as windozed as you like, and
have -say- one-stick-per-game. 'Splendid isolation' of
that fragile windows system and the gaming world.
Linux-live systems are stable enough to support this.
Better for all parties concerned:
No or little chance that your 'small folk' mess up or
infect your oh-so-dear windows system with the latest
nasty-ness coming from their game-hunger.
OTOH: Your game-apps no longer have to adapt to
whatever-is-installed on the MS-system or subject to
delays caused by inspections of a virus-scanner.
Never again an 'Oh-dear', my game no longer runs, after
the so-many-est windows critical update: The unmodified
game-os is packed on the same bootable stick as the game
itself.
Would the spectre of games running on the home-PC *not*
using the MS-OS be why MS needs secure-boot all of a
sudden? [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
