My all time favorite court decision involves a man who was arrested for
streaking in the 1970's. He had admitted the crime and before passing sentence
the Judge asked him why he had done it.
The man's reply was that he had done it for a £50 bet.
The Judge asked if he had received his winnings.
When the man replied in the affirmative, the Judge promptly passed a sentence of
a fine of £50.

I'm not very enamored of it's libel and slander laws. Most of it seems pretty
good. (Viewed from across the pond...so I'm likely missing many faults.)
