In a related story, Windows 8 traffic through web sites with statcounter has
passed the traffic from Androids.

While statcounter seems to be primarily on sales sites it is not difficult to
imagine that if the Windows8 ads and tracking traffic was being routed via
statcounter sites. This alone could explain the traffic even if no one was using
the browser.

Well, at least the tracking will make it easier to estimate the actual number of
users rather than the number of licenses sold...

I was looking at some PC ads and found that it seems to be impossible to by a
current PC without Windows 8. I think that this fact alone will hurt this
holiday buying season and PC sales. If (big if) I was wanting a Windows PC, it
wouldn't use 8, maybe 7 but I can't get that. The industry is locking
themselves into a losing bet.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
