Oh yes.
First, there was Dr Quatermass that had my grand-parents hiding
behind the sofa,
followed a few year later by Dr Who and the Daleks that had
my farther hiding behind the sofa (for him they represented the Nazi SS and so I
now feel a little bit guilty about the mirth that I felt) ; ( mom on the other
hand -just said it was all daft) - she liked Dr. Kildare and that
program about a Harley Street trick-cyclist called Dr Roger Corder in the The
Human Jungle . Even our cat was content to sit quietly and watch. Now, all
pussy wants to do is walk across my keyboard when the telly's on! Oh happy days
– real television entertainment for all the family.
P.S. Do you know that
the nurses in Dr Dr. Kildare wore 'yellow' aprons. The TV orthicon tubes of the
time, made them look whiter-than-white (and before any techo asks. No.
Bluey-white would have washed out the nurses figures) .
