There's certainly people who like the OS. I do - it's a reasonably good product
in it's own right, but way, way too late, which has severe implications for
market acceptance/platform support. Given it was late by years it needed to be a
game changer and wasn't.
The iphone clearly was, so was android with the price points it was able to hit
and the flexibility OEM's had to try stuff. WP is nice, but why should anyone
care? Android post 4.1/4.2 fixes a *lot* of what was wrong with earlier
versions and has vastly more developer support.
Hence the market share, I don't see it changing either. Still, it means the
handsets are insanely cheap because no one buys them, and I don't mind that.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
