They probably won't change - Venice floods so regularly they probably can't get
cover for flooding.
Definitely visit Venice - it's every bit as pretty as it appears in photos/on

Together with Florence, we went their on our honeymoon. And it tried to flood
while we were there (start of March).
It is absolutely beautiful. And if it hasn't changed, you can get a 72-hr ticket
for the Vaporetto (water bus) and go anywhere. We were there for almost exactly
72 hours, so it was perfect.
As always, it might have been cheaper to buy tickets as required, but if you've
got a pass in your pocket, you just use it as you want to without worrying.
