I certainly haven't been bothered one bit. Off topic is indeed meant for this
kind of thing.
I only specified the verb forms because there prejudice generally only means
"to harm" whereas prejudge means generally means "to apply a
prejudice", that is "to decide before". The noun form of
prejudice is the one that could cause confusion with its two different
meanings.
I'm only slightly familiar with Catalan (and Valencian) but I know that there
are significantly more than two Iberian languages, most, but not all of which
are somehow descended from Latin. I even have friends who had to learn some of
these (eg Medieval Castilian seems to be a favourite) in order to research their
doctoral theses. I do however, find languages, and especially etymology
fascinating, so thanks again. :)
