How
one fake press release on a Google
"acquisition" fooled the
press
Considering PJ's preaching of good
journalism (which I
wholeheartedly agree with), I thought this
story here
gives a good example of when sources aren't
checked.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

The H It will be very interesting to see
what uses people find for it. Meanwhile it seems that Farnell will have the
Gertboard available again soon, but ready built. I am guessing that packing kits
of numerous parts was proving to be far too labour intensive, whereas an
automated production line just does what it is programmed to do, with minimum
attention, so it it actually much easier to supply completed boards than kits. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Link 4000 a day, plus
more from China. That is very serious production for such a device. I doubt that
any other small computer board has ever been made in such quantities. Consumer
goods such as phones, M$ Kin excepted, are of course made in larger
quantities. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Microsoft gets patent on augmented reality glasses as 'AR
wars' start
During the 1980's, defence contractors developed AR for
fighter pilots and the like. So what is new in all this?

I just did a quick check, and we appear to be tied for 8th place (with Popehat
XD, and 1 vote behind Above the Law) overall in voting with 38 votes. We are
comfortably leading the technology category.
