There's a lot of power in those new battery chemistries. I worked for a short
time at a designer and manufacturer of battery packs. They would deliberately
overcharge 'em, locked inside a steel toolbox. Even rather small ones left
significant dents in the box, when they exploded.
Charge/discharge circuits are critical to battery safety. Sub-standard batteries
render those circuits useless. That's why I'm concerned about all battery
