You need to know the numbers
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, November 26 2012 @ 08:58 PM EST

In order to assess whether the solar maximum or the CO2 levels are dominating, you need to know the impact of each, in terms of climate forcing.

This Skeptical Science page has a good explanation, along with some of the best, most reliable numbers for the contributions by solar input & human emissions.

The TL;DR version:

Solar: as much as 40% of warming observed over the past 150 years, but only ~10% of warming over the past 50 years.

Human: pretty much all the rest.
