I'm not sure there ever was any innovation at Apple. Jobs was good at
incorporating others ideas into products that became successful. Nothing wrong
with that. If folks want to call it 'innovation', that's fine with me.
True innovators are rugged individualists, not corporate drones, and some become
financially rewarded, others not so much. There's some luck involved as well.
Most successful CEOs are quick to admit that. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

What innovative products has the Ford Motor Co produced since 1903?
OK that's a bit of a stretch, but Moore's Law seems to have given
some folks exponential expectations. Next year's Apple TV, 100" screen
plays movies from anywhere on earth via your (i)phone, isn't
innovation either I s'pose, but it keeps the tills ringing. Isn't that
enough for the shareholders?
