"An armed citizenry is one of the foundations of a secure
society"
Balony. In Europe and most of northeast Asia guns among citizens are banned, yet
these societies are doing fine in terms of security. Same thing with Canada.

That's one estimate of the cost to put police in every school
in America.
Of course, stationing them in schools full-time also means
those cops are NOT out patrolling streets and stopping OTHER
gun crimes, or preventing attacks in, say, churches or movie
theaters.

(Note IANAL, I don't play one on TV, etc, consult a practicing attorney, etc,
etc)

The cost of freedom is eternal vigilance and all that stuff.
If we want a safe society, we cannot ban all methods of
self-defense. That way lies madness.
}
It seems to me, certainly in this case and many more, the cure is much worse
than the disease. The answer to a gun problem can never, ever be more guns, at
least not in a sane world.
How much will it take to protect the country from all those who are convinced
they're protecting the country???
