But apparently
you missed PJ's post where she quoted:

held that the Second Amendment protects an
individual right
to possess a gun unconnected with service in a militia, and
to use the gun for traditionally lawful purposes, such as in
the home for self
defense.
So your opinion of the definition of "militia" is hereby
mooted by Heller 2008.

And until fairly recently, that is how the
