Actually, greater chance of being killed by a car driven by a teenager who is
texting?
That act has also been banned. But, folks are still being killed at a very high
rate.
Note that Formula One and NASCAR have a very low death rate due to vehicle
accidents (carbon fiber is saving many), so why not force cars to be made as
safe as those cars...? Why don't they, well, carbon fiber does not rust out, so
the car would be usable for many many years, and the auto makers, really would
not like that, the labor unions would not like that, the government who collects
a tax on new cars bought (because old ones rust) would not like that either.
But, if they did it, it would save lives, and by using carbon fiber, and
progresive designs (Progresive sponsored a contest and the winner with a carbon
fiber car, and gas motor ( one cyl honda modified) one with about 107 mpg) won.
Why not do that? Save lives, save environment?
Because? Doing just that would save more lives than guns do harm (instantly),
and long term when we look at the potential of starvation due to crop failure
(droughts), would also save lives?
Nope, subject is guns.
Clarissa Estes said "if logic were everything, then all men would ride
sidesaddle".
So true.
