Supremes said: "mental processes, and abstract intellectual
concepts are not patentable"
You say: "I'm not arguing against the supremes", but yet you
are.
Diamond v Diehr was about a process to transform rubber.
The patent was about transforming rubber. You cannot
transform rubber by thinking about it.
You can replicate every software algorithm in your head.
If you couldn't, then the algorithm would not have been able
to have been developed.
It's how algorithms _are_ developed. We work them out in
our heads.
I've been writing software for over three decades.
Others here have similar levels of experience.
We are trying to help you understand a simple truth.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

when you've got everything backwards? The computer is a machine
that was invented to mimic some very limited capabilities of the
brain. Because the functions were deliberately limited to a small
set of completely defined operations, the computer can perform
them with great speed and accuracy, but its functions are
qualitatively inferior to the brain's full capabilities.
Bah. You are a troll, wasting our time.
