More like: 'You just made a bunch of our assets worthless! Now we can write
down a synthetic loss to offset the record-breaking profits we're making,
awesome!'

You just failed to note that everybody KNOWS (but will never
admit it) that software patents should never be allowed but
forced their way in.
If this fails now because someone finally came to light and
saw the mess in the house, can you now blame the courts or
USPTO? The law is the same, interpretation is what can be
changed and it's not subject to more than whining cause you
lost your backdoor to the USPTO. You can argue and the
courts can listen to you and even grant you what you want,
but yoy can't say the courts made you lose money: you
gambled, you lost.
