Ubuntu Phone OS Demonstration by Mark Shuttleworth at CES 2013

Slightly off-topic: I'm still scratching my head over what Google evil Microsoft
is complaining about (Windows phone and Google) and trying to envision the
scenario.

Option 1:
Googler1: hey, lots of people are watching youtube on cell phones. We can write
an Android app that'll make it easier.

Googler2: How about other platforms?

Googler1: Awful lot of iPhone users out there. And Apple has a well-defined API.
We should probably do that also.

Googler2: How about other platforms?

Googler3: Let's do Windows Phone 7!

Googleboss: Find out who said that and fire him for incurable stupidity.

GoogleHR: Our health plan pays for brain transplants?

Googleboss: OK, so do that already.

Googler4: How about Windows Phone 8? All indications are that it's going to be
almost half as successful as WP7. And the API is ... about as well designed,
defined, and documented.

Googleboss: Forget it. We get to hire the best people because Google gives them
cool stuff to do--stuff that matters to someone. We don't _have_ enough money to
pay bright people to write for WP-any version.

Microsoftie: Hey, Googler, when are you going to write a YT app for WP8?

Googler: When prize-winning berkshire boars fly synchronized aerial formations
over the frozen sulphur floes of hell ... we'll consider the possibility of
forming a committee to propose a recommended administrative structure for a
hypothetical task force to investigate the desirability of adding windows phone
apps to the list of prioritizable projects.

Microsoftie: WAA! You can't say that! Everyone kowtows to Microsoft! Everyone
MUST kowtow to Microsoft!

Googler: Forget it. With your user base, you aren't important enough to blow off
in a tweet.

Microsoftie: WAA! Google doesn't care about Microsoft anymore! They're a
monopoly, they HAVE to care about incompetent competition!

Scenario 2: Is there really any plausible scenario 2?
