But the limits that have been placed on the conversation
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, January 18 2013 @ 11:45 AM EST

But how else can you describe the situation? The real problem in my opinion is the corruption caused by money in Politics. If you want to get elected, it costs. Once elected you owe a debt to those who backed you.

In the United States this means the system has evolved into a version of "Corporate Fascism" where the money has given industry a private doorway into the Legislative Branch. I'm not saying all politicians are corrupt by choice. Some are, most aren't and would be horrified at the thought.

But the message that they hear tends to be limited to what the large donors are saying, because the large donors have more access than the general public.

IPKat did a poll on the US IP system, and the results would have freaked Kappos, ex-head of the USPTO. Too bad no one has asked for his comments on it.

We don't envy Americans their IP System
