Do you access a computer that you are not authorized to, in order to return to
the store and make the purchase? Better pay with cash on the second trip, so
that paying by credit/debit card is not deemed as such an access![ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

If a store clerk or security recognises you they might give you
a verbal warning of trepass. The technique works sometimes.
JSTOR's limits per customer are not widely published. They
might be somewhere in this case that I haven't yet got to read.
I wanted to take several articles in a series and asked our
University librarian how many I was allowed. I didn't get get
a straight answer, just that the six I wanted was OK, because
it was assumed highly unlikely I would be back tomorrow
for sixty, or for six hundred the day after.

50 years in prison according to an article on TechDirt. Not 35
years.
The one thing that Dolan got right is that "35 years"
probably wasn't accurate. But he had it in the wrong direction. The original
four charges had a maximum possibility of 35 years. After Dolan's wife upped the
charge count to 13, it was looking like the total could possibly be upwards of
50 years
