Actually PJ is not fully correct regarding trespass laws
as you have to know
your local laws! Basically, it does not
much research to realize that property
owner rights
are actually rather limited when it comes to trespassing. In
some
US states you are legally
allowed to go onto someone else's property such as
hunting
and livestock exceptions. Some States do require extensive
effort by
the property owner such as correctly spaced and
worded signs to prevent those
exceptions. So, yes, they
could be allowed to
go
and get that dog from your
lawn doing what you don't want it
to do.
Further, as a property owner
you can only ask that
the trespasser's leave. You cannot actually force
them to
leave but you have to call the police to legally remove
them.
Otherwise you might end in worse trouble than the
trespassers. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
