Funny things wives...I didn't bother to renew the TV licence on this household
when my mother died as I never had time to watch it - I *still* have programmes
I videoed from before her death (in 2004) I have not watched due to lack of
time. However, when I got married 5 years ago, the wife decided she wanted to
watch a "broadcast television service" (which is for what the TV
Licence is) and so decided to get one.
The TV Licence is ONLY required to receive a "broadcast television
service", so having a device /capable/ of receiving a "broadcast
television service" does not, in itself, require a Licence - I have several
TVs that are used for the purpose of monitors for DVD players, Video players,
old home micros, old home games consoles.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
