Foo, I remember using Wang scientific calculator with Nixie Tubes at the
Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley, CA when the place first opened.
Nixie
tubes rock! They're the closest all-electronic thing to Steampunk (JMHO).
They're so retro you can see them in a lunar control room in 2001: A Space
Odyssey (1968).
Crumbs, it just occurred to me that we're 12 years past
2001 and still no Pan Am service to the big old space station and no lunar
