It's not what that site does with its logs. Check the downloaded
source, including redirects, from most online "news"papers.
You will find you have "visited" over a dozen third party sites.
Some authors write their pages so that useful content is the
last thing to download, and the ad-counters, Fakebook likes,
cannot be escaped.
I run a cron script to flush these unwanted cookies and "local"
storage items. Maybe Firefox has an add-in to do similar.

Then selectively view it once it is entirely local.
And if your OS doesn't support this model, you need a new OS with a new
