This was my original point. The carriers should be forced to
forward _at least_ the security updates that Google provides,
as long as a device is under contract. I think we could all
live without the cosmetic and functional updates. But the
security updates should not be withheld from customers as long
as they have no recourse but to sit there waiting for their
contract to expire, or a malware attack (whichever comes
first).
