It is inevitable. The question is, in the case
of Life on earth, did it happen because of the Physics,
or was there outside help?
Consider that the ratio of the estimated age of the Universe
and the estimated age of your star system,
is approximately equal to the ratio of the
circumference of a circle and the diameter of the same circle.
In other words, the odds are extremely low that you
are the first and only Space Life Forms in the universe.
Extremely low. As in nearly zero.
For if you even assume, through pure chance that it still
took 3.8 billions years for life to evolve on Earth,
the rest of the universe had over 10 billion years of a
head start.
You are not alone.

The word "may" is used constantly in anything that can't be
proved. Things that cant be proved have to be taken on
"faith".
One of the definitions of faith is "firm belief in something
