- Batteries *can* be readily removed by the consumer? Where
again in your directive does it mention that it must be
'readily' possible to re-assemble the device afterward?
- Provide user instructions for disassembling? The link
before mentions something overly complicated. We'd suggest
hitting the device repeatedly with a sledgehammer until the
battery emerges. Far simpler than going through that thing
with the hot air gun and the screwdriver any day...
So, is everyone happy now? Once again, we've been perfectly
compatible with the letter of the regulation.
The trouble with you folk is that you look at a specification
or regulation from an engineer's perspective. We at MS have
not done *that* in ages: Once you look at a specification
from a lawyer's perspective, being compatible is not so hard
at all y'know.
