I can confirm there is a London in Canada, I'm sitting in it.
Somewhere around 350,000 people live here.
The World Figure Skating Championships are here this year.
The Financial Times is owned by Pearson PLC a sizable publishing company
headquartered in the London that hosted the 2012 Summer Olympics. A far bigger
city and a bigger more diverse sporting event.

Okay, I'm being a bit facetious about it being the Canadian London, but there is
a genuine (if unlikely) link.
The FT is (last I knew) part of Pearson, which was (maybe stil is) owned by
Conrad Black, who is Canadian.
After all, the Greenwich that was mentioned is not THE Greenwich. Why should
London be THE London?
Cheers,
