In as much as SCO is still involved in several lawsuits, knowing who gets the
material means knowing who to subpoena for discovery.

Or did you really not know that discovery on one of those court cases has yet
to start?

The nature of many of SCO's documents *is* Groklaw's business.

Heh heh. Why don't *you* mind yours?

Journalists record what is happening in the
world. It's what the job is, minding
other people's business, figuring out what
is factual, and then telling
the world.

Now, tell us, please. Why don't you want
us to know? Do you know?

I wish we could

I really wish we could mind our own business. Sadly, when
there are sharks like the folks at SCO swimming in these
waters you have to watch them closely. Had SCO minded its
own business they might still be selling and making
software. Unfortunately for all of us SCO stuck its nose in
to the linux business and would never let up. SCO may be
gone whittled away, but there are still other predators out
there whose only goal is to eat the fruit of other's hard
work, and they too must be watched.

Nice sentiment. Wrong context.

SCO wants everyone in the world to pay them $699 for each electronic device in
their home, car or workplace which has an embedded computer.

That makes it our business.

I suspect there are more than a few who held on to SCO shares to the bitter end and still hold them, praying for a payout. He is probably angry at us here at Groklaw for raining on his parade. He should take his anger out on SCO, where it belongs, along with the crooked system that permitted SCO to begin these frivolous lawsuits in the first place. If SCO had been shut down at the start of them, sure they would have taken a hit, but then could have go on to focus on serving the needs of their customers instead of suing them and thereby find a way to profitability.

Well, Darl/Blake/Ralph/Blepp's Briefcase,

It IS our business. SCO attempted to blackmail companies I
worked for, and I make my living from Linux, and have done
so since the late 1990s. I've followed the SCO
travesty/jihad since it started, both here and at other
discussion forums. SCO were vermin, and got exterminated.

It's not only my business....it has a personal dimension
too.
