Nikon to pay Microsoft Android tax
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, February 23 2013 @ 02:36 PM EST
Anyone have the details. My guess is the negotiations went something like:

MS: We have a patent on Fat Filesystem, we want money.

Nikon: Okay, but we have a patent on real technologies x,y,z. We want more
money.

MS: Okay, we'll pay you more, but you have to sign this NDA, and we get to tell
the world about how you are paying for android.

Nikon: Okay.

So until we see the actual agreement, my money is on the net flow of money being
to Nikon.
