It's the old saying: "You can fool some of the people all the
time, all of the people some of the time, but not all the
people all the time."
I think the M$ crowd fall in category one.
I also think that M$ thinks that their customers are as
intelligent as cows; easily trained to come back to the
barn for milking.

Over the past 25 years, I've seen corporate software decisions made that don't
make sense to me on many levels.
Most of them didn't involve Microsoft.
Executives have their reasons. A white paper, a personal or business
relationship, some financial interest, or even a checkbox on someone's personal
goals list for the year could be enough reason to retain a bad solution or go
out and obtain a new bad solution.
Who knows? As a technical employee, I have learned to work around the sometimes
horrible decisions made by others higher up in the chain. I question them as
well, but those decisions are usually made multiple levels above any technical
position.
