And then when you want it all - i.e. you find you cant live without some of the
bits that X provided and they add them in with a repeat of all the bugs that
were found when X was developed....
X isn't that heavy on resources. I have a few small machines that don't have
graphics cards and yet I can ssh -X into it from another machine and run full
blown X on it.
QT (which I believe is what this new "you will have unity at all costs
interface"* will be running under) doesn't have that at the core level.
I see what they are trying to do but I dont want a same everywhere desktop -
you end up trying to square the circle and just end up with lots of leftover
bits of paper.
