I did point out that Microsoft's statement indicates
that it looks to the Commission to accept or not its
offer.

And if you do send another letter can you add a high recommendation that EU's Mr
Alumina decision whether to appoint an independent monitoring trustee to oversee
Microsoft adhere to the rest of its compliance period goes ahead. After all it
is a billion dollar issue.
He is reported as saying in the NY Times that the commission would be more
inclined to use trustees to police future settlements, would be more precise in
defining their responsibilities and would “pay even more attention to the
reports that the monitoring trustees will send to us.”

oversee whether Microsoft was adhering to the rest of its compliance period in
the browser case, which runs to 2014."
