You have commented on a post that says we should not prove a
point with a false premise by hammering in that the
underlying point is valid. This is along the same lines as
saying the ends justify the means.
When someone makes a point that is valid with a falsehood it
at best looks like they dont know what they are taking
about. This gives the reader they are trying to convince of
the point an easy way to disregard everything they are
saying. Even if the person believed the information wasnt
false. Things that are easily proven false just look bad.
You dont want to give bad impressions when trying to
convince people of a problem. It ruins everything you want
to accomplish and gives people who disagree with you
