If Heinlein's publishers had known that the clock would soon turn on them, so to
speak, they might not have been as comfortable with publishing that sentence.
That little insight, in all its simplicity, spells the doom for most of the old
school media and publishing industry, including the music and movie industry.
In the long run, I think it also calls for a thorough reform of the software
industry, although they are at least trying to break new ground and adapt their
business models. Traditional media giants, however, are hopelessly stuck in
their constipated thinking and seem unable to change.
