Whose given up on it? :)))
(( sGood != "evil" ) && ( sEvil != "good" ))
I don't think they're re-defining the term. They know the meaning of FUD
(Misplaced FUD was the goal of their "Get the Facts Fubar'd"
program).
Now that they're feeling the pressure from people, companies, and governments
that are beginning to get a clue, they want to claim that this is FUD misplaced.
They're in denial.
Their customers are probably becoming afraid to use their products where
stability and security are important. Their customers are probably becoming
uncertain that their relationship with ms has any actual benefit. Their
customers are probably doubting in mss ability to produce an operating system on
which they can rely.
I would say that, in this context, they are surely using it more correctly than
they may have intended.
On a personal note, I got a clue and felt the FUD a long time ago, and have
avoided their products like the plague ever sense. :)
