"the right to keep and bear arms" just means no one can take or
prevent you from using your arms. It works for weapons or appendages :)
The Second amendment is called the second amendment because it took only one
second to write. Opinions diverge wildly on interpretation.
IMO, it is intended to prevent the gov't (state or federal) from disarming
citizens, in case the gov't might need to be overthrown. That was a serious
consideration back then. Someday, it will again be considered, perhaps not in
our lifetimes. Hopefully, US citizens will not have been totally disarmed by
