And it's not an illegal monopoly until the company with the monopoly actively
seeks to prevent competition.
If Google actively targeted other search providers to damage them, then there's
a problem. But I don't think Google tells its customers they can't advertise
elsewhere ... and other search providers have no qualms/problems using Google to
provide a lot of their results for them ..

No, but have a look around some of the user/hacker forums
at the agony some people have had to get rid of the Google
search bar from the home screen. Some device makers and/or
network operators deliberately make it hard, and with Google's
approval. Yes, the roms with Google services must be
approved by Google. Not everybody is able or willing to
root their device to remove Google search.
