What about the measurements?

Comment is instructive, but it's does not change anything
WRT to "patent problem". Think about it: it explains WHY
patent system is so ineffective, but it does not change the
fact that it IS woefully ineffective.

If patent is never licensed, sold, or litigated then it
means money spent on it were purely "protection money" spent
for the legalized government-sponsored mob.

If most patents are filed just to keep the right to use
"inventions" listed in them (and this, indeed, looks close
to the truth) then there is much more cost-effective
solution: abolish patents altogether. Developers will keep
the rights to use these inventions and courts will be freed
for other, more important cases.

P.S. I can not create an account but you can find patent
where I'm listed as inventor over here:
http://www.google.com/patents/US20110029820?
dq=Victor+Khimenko . This patent is [hopefully] will never
be used in litigation and was filed solely to make sure we
actually can use techniques listed in it safely and without
risk of litigation. IOW: money spent on it were purely
"racket money" clear and simple.
