Who were the men that didn't think it was possible to go to the Moon.
If you want an example pick a less silly one. If you can.

That's fine for moon shots, but not for
patents.
The risk is fine, if you find people willing
to be test objects.
But for patents, you are saying that people
should get patents on things that maybe are
defective. And that's ridiculous.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Men went to the Moon in devices that had never been fully tested.
Sure, there
was a chance that the devices included defects, but baring defects,
they knew
Eagle would get them to the Sea of Tranquility and
back. I don't think you realize how thoroughly tested most of the
hardware that went to the moon was. Yeah, they couldn't test it 100% as a
whole, but every part was tested again and again in simulations before being
cleared for use. They even did a flight out to the moon and back with the
lander launching and docking while in moon orbit before a moon landing flight
was done. The only part that wasn't tested thoroughly was the landing it's
self. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
