You should probably stick to software patents.
And the Wright Brothers are not a good example,
I don't think, in that the government finally
had to step in and break their stranglehold on

About the Wright Brothers: All they contributed to flying was already known, and
not only by the birds.

Bird versus Wright is an invalid comparison. Had they made an organic form with
feathers, light bones, ... there might be an argument. What made their creation
surprising and not verifiable with an actual test was that the creation of
cloth, metal, and wood was not obviously flyable without an actual test (given
